About the event

Jane Fischer is a Creative Change Facilitator, offering training, facilitation, and coaching for personal and organizational development. Her passion is to help individuals, teams, and organizations arrive at creative solutions to the challenging and ambiguous problems they face, and to do so through positive mindsets.

Jane has over 25 years of experience in organizing and delivering educational and professional development workshops, training curriculum, process facilitation, and group experience activities. Her work is focused on supporting the integration of creativity into all aspects of personal, professional, organizational, and community development efforts. Jane’s workshops and programs are highly interactive, allowing individuals and groups to explore and experience ways to enhance collaboration, adaptability, communication, resilience, and other elements that bring the best out of people and teams. She infuses principles and practices of creative problem solving, creative leadership, creative thinking tools, collaborative mindsets, applied improvisation, and purposeful play to build and boost participants’ mindsets, skill sets, and tool sets.

Jane holds a Master of Arts in Health Arts and Sciences from Goddard College, and a Graduate Certificate of Advanced Study in Creativity and Change Leadership from the International Center for Studies in Creativity at SUNY Buffalo State. She is certified as a Foursight® facilitator, a Facilitator of Lego® Serious Play® Methods & Materials, and a Laugha-Yoga leader. Jane serves as a Core Faculty Member and Creativity Training Consultant for the Creative Education Foundation, and she has been a top-rated leader/instructor at the Creative Problem Solving Institute – the world’s longest-running creativity conference - since 2014. In addition to working with nonprofit organizations, colleges, community organizations, and businesses, she has been honored to deliver keynote presentations and lead interactive workshops at numerous conferences and events.

In addition to infusing improvisation and creativity into her workshops, Jane has also been a professional improv comedy performer for 20 years, most recently with ComedySportz Buffalo. She has been an improv comedy teacher/instructor for the 2018 Lucille Ball Comedy Festival hosted by the National Comedy Center in Jamestown, NY, the SLT Academy of Struthers Library Theater in Warren, PA, and a week-long series as an Improv Teacher at Camp Summer Stars for the Performing Arts in Gill, Massachusetts.
