Choose CHQ Live CHQ Impact

Please join us for our Women In Networking meeting:

Choose CHQ Live CHQ Impact with guest speaker Monica Simpson.

Guest speaker, Monica Simpson, is the Partner Engagement Coordinator for the Chautauqua County Partnership for Economic Growth (CCPEG), an initiative of the Chautauqua Regional Economic Development Corporation (CREDC). With over 12 years of experience in economic development, Monica has worked as a Program Manager at the Fredonia Technology Incubator, at the State University of New York at Fredonia, and as a Grants Administrator at the University of New York at Buffalo. She has been with CCPEG for the past five years. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of New York at Buffalo. She is a member of the CHQ Chamber of Commerce, Chautauqua Leadership Network, CHQ Workforce Ambassador, and co-founder of the CHQ Professionals Group.

Monica's presentation will cover a range of exciting new initiatives from the Partnership, offering a comprehensive look at how these efforts shape the community and the opportunities they create for your group. Here's a quick overview of what she'll be discussing:

1. Live and Choose CHQ Websites: These sites are the cornerstone of our recently launched talent attraction and retention marketing initiative, designed to promote Chautauqua County as a great place to live, work, and conduct business by offering information and resources for both new and current residents or businesses. Live CHQ focuses on marketing the county as a place to live, while Choose CHQ focuses on marketing the county as a place to launch or expand business.

2. CHQ Workforce and Brand Ambassador Programs: These two new initiatives support the talent attraction and retention efforts. Workforce Ambassadors will be paired with recruits to offer guidance and support, while Brand Ambassadors will help community members become familiar with the available Live CHQ materials and resources, enhancing engagement and awareness throughout the county.

3.  CHQ Trail Map: Focused on showcasing Chautauqua County’s outdoor and recreational opportunities, this initiative highlights hundreds of miles of trails available for hiking, riding, and paddling. It's a valuable tool for attracting talent and visitors who are drawn to outdoor activities.

4. CHQ Professionals Group: Previously known as Northern Chautauqua Young Professionals, this group is now an inclusive networking community open to professionals of all ages. It provides networking, fundraising, educational, and volunteer opportunities, fostering stronger community bonds and professional connections.

Monica’s insights into these initiatives will be invaluable for understanding the impact on the community and how your group can benefit and participate!
