The Small Business Development Center at Jamestown Community College is pleased to recognize William Uhl and ServPro of Jamestown/Olean as the recipient of this year’s Small Business Week Award Winner, Buffalo District.
The staff of ServPro was recognized at the annual Small Business Administration luncheon, held on Friday May 10, 2019. Mr. Uhl has owned and operated ServPro since January 2016. ServPro of Jamestown/Olean’s mission is to develop a team of quality people who focus on excellent service, fairness, and mutual respect. ServPro restores homes and/or businesses after fire, water, or other damage. Additionally, they can provide assistance with reconstruction of the building after the damage has been mitigated.
Uhl has grown the company significantly since he purchased it several years ago. He has also created several new jobs in a short amount of time. According to Uhl, “My wife Jennifer and I wanted to do something that would give back to the community. We felt this was one of the best ways to do so.”
The vision of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Jamestown Community College (JCC) is to create economic sustainability for all New Yorkers – one business at a time. The SBDC delivers high quality business counseling and training to clients looking to start a business or improve the performance of an existing business. Services are free and confidential and include a range of management and technical assistance from business plan development, accounting guidance, productivity enhancement and export assistance to loan information, marketing, and financial planning among other services.
